WHO

Girls grades 8-12 at Craver Middle School and Rye High School
Teachers (need a list!)
Administrators (again with a list)
Community Partners: GCC, other ideas? PCC, CSU-P, RTC,

WHAT

GIFT–Girls inĀ  Fun Technology, a club for girls in grades 8-12 to learn and explore about technology, an opportunity to be mentored by community partners,

WHERE

RHS, field trips

WHEN

WHY

We need to do this for our girls! Potential source of grants, funding that will benefit the whole school and community. We need to prepare them to thrive in the 21st Century.

HOW

    Nancy,
    You might contact Ginger at the ad bldg because they may be able to get something through gifted and talented.
    I don’t think there’s a lot of money available but you never know.

    Well, I think that this will be huge in getting more of our talented young women into science and other related fields, and I am especially excited about the role models that they will have.
    That being said, I think we need to keep our momentum and get the ball rolling as soon as possible. I think the first step is to come up with some goals/mission statement and then develop the programs.
    What do you guys think our goals should be?
